So, your hair falling out can be for various different reasons, often it’s a symptom of an underlying condition such as a thyroid condition.
So, if you are experiencing this, I urge you to go and get some testing done to check in on your thyroid panel (full panel TSH, T4, T3, RT3, Antibodies) so you can get a clear picture of your thyroid health. You will have to pay for some of the panel as GP’s will only run T4 and T3 if your TSH is out of range, but as I have discussed before this absolutely does not indicate the health of your thyroid gland and more extensive testing must be run. Checking in on your nutrient levels is also important.
Nutrient deficiencies could potentially be the problem, especially if your gut is a wreck (which is likely), then those all-important nutrients won’t be absorbing properly into your cells and providing your body with the nutrients it needs to have healthy hair and an optimally functioning thyroid gland.
Nutrients that are important are, iodine, selenium, zinc, iron, biotin, magnesium, B vitamins, inositol, and PABA.
